Burlington and its third party service providers collect Information about you from a variety of sources, including Personal Information you provide directly to us, and information we collect about you when you access and use our Site or shop in our stores. We may combine any of the Information collected about you for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

  • Identifying information: We may collect your personal Information such as your name, online identifier, unique personal identifier (such as a device identifier; cookies, beacons, pixel tags, mobile ad identifiers and similar technology; customer number, unique pseudonym, or user alias; telephone number and other forms of persistent or probabilistic identifiers), mailing addresses, email address(es), phone numbers, internet protocol address, email address, account name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, and other similar identifiers;

SHARING OF INFORMATION

Burlington shares information about our customers with affiliated companies, vendors, business partners and service providers. These companies need information about you, including your name, address, phone number, email address, to perform their service function (such as to process your payment and fulfill your order, verify your credit card information, and to protect you and us from fraud). We may also share your information with third parties such as those that provide financial products and services related to our business and those that co-sponsors our contests, events or other promotions. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), on certain of our Online Services. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often you visit our Site, what pages you visit within our Site, and what other sites you visited prior to coming to our Site. We use the information provided by Google Analytics to improve our Site and services. JOB POSTINGS

This Site may include job postings from time to time for Burlington job opportunities at its store locations, distribution centers, and corporate offices. Should you wish to do so, you may apply for such job openings online through an applicant tracking system operated by iCIMS by creating an applicant profile and submitting an application via the Site, which information is usually received by Burlington’s human resources department. Once submitted, your application, resume or CV (if applicable), and other personal information (collectively, “Applicant Information”) may also be made available to additional human resources personnel and/or hiring manager(s) at the Burlington location to which you are applying. In addition, your Applicant Information will be stored in that tracking system in an electronic database maintained by iCIMS on behalf of Burlington.

All such Applicant Information may be used by Burlington for the purpose of assessing your suitability for current and future job opportunities and to assist with Burlington’s recruitment and application processes.

As discussed above, as part of the application process, you will be required to create an applicant profile with a user name and password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of that username and password, and for any unauthorized access or use of your user name and password.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may review, update, correct or delete your online account information at any time by contacting us to request changes to any of your information. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. Customers who no longer wish to receive our promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email or contacting customer service. If you want to update information in the iCIMS tracking system, please contact iCIMS as noted in their privacy policy. In some cases, we may need to retain and use personal information obtained previously to verify your identity and as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.

When required in your jurisdiction, Burlington will permit individuals to access, correct, amend or delete Personal Information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete. This Site is not designed or intended to be used by anyone under the age of 18.   • Request to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Request to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.  We do not generally sell information as the term “sell” is traditionally understood. However, if and to the extent “sale” under the CCPA is interpreted to include advertising technology activities such as those implemented specifically for interest-based advertising, we will comply with applicable law as to such activity.

We will verify and respond to your request consistent with applicable law, taking into account the type and sensitivity of the personal information subject to the request. We may need to request additional personal information from you, such as email address, state of residency, or mailing address, in order to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests. If you make a Request to Delete, we may ask you to confirm your request before we delete your personal information.

Authorized Agents

If you want to make a request as an authorized agent on behalf of a California resident, you may use the submission methods noted above. As part of our verification process, we may request that you provide, as applicable, the following:
  • Proof of your registration with the California Secretary of State to conduct business in California; and
  • A power of attorney from the California resident pursuant to Probate Code sections 4121-4130465 or written permission that the California resident has authorized you to make a request on the resident’s behalf. This permission must be signed (via physical or e-signature) by the California resident.
If you are making a Request to Know or a Request to Delete on behalf of a California resident and have not provided us with a power of attorney from the resident pursuant to Probate Code sections 4121-4130, we may also require the resident to:
  • Verify the resident’s own identity directly with us; or
  • Directly confirm with us that the resident provided you permission to submit the Request to Know or Request to Delete.
